Seeking Tao - Inspirations from Lao Tzu
Reflecting on our 25+ years in strategic human resource management, it has always been Tao philosophy that guided us through our ups and downs. Lao Tzu’s invaluable gift empowers us to adopt positive thinking, embrace changes, be flexible and resilient. The ancient wisdom is profoundly relevant in today’s workplace and society. While popular management theories are developed in the west, we find a natural resonance in Lao Tzu’s teaching.
With a mission to inspire Asian SMEs on holistic learning, Elsyung Consulting incorporates Tao philosophy in the design of our bespoke people development programmes. Dao 道, meaning path in Chinese, encompasses finding, choosing and following a path. Our professional team commits to work closely with our clients in finding the most suitable “dao” for their business, career, personal brand and other aspects of life.
“Knowledge is a treasure,
but practice is the key to it.”
“為學日益,為道日損。損之又損,以至於無為。"
Seeking Tao — Lao Tzu
Continuous improvement and development are important to
everyone, so they become a process to happen naturally in life.
“Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it.” “Water is the softest thing, yet it can penetrate mountains and earth.”
“天下莫柔弱於水,而攻堅強者莫之能勝,以其無以易之"
Seeking Tao — Lao Tzu
The principle of softness overcoming hardness: being weak and flexible does not mean to be defeated easily, it is even more powerful when managing challenges.
“Silence is a source of great strength.” “Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know.”
“希言自然"
Seeking Tao — Lao Tzu
Being mindful on how to present oneself effectively in a professional manner, not only by expressing with words, but also through different forms of non-verbal communications.
